Olga + Chris · 23 minutes · 11:20 to 11:43 · what AI-native stacks look like, and how they change with the job
The news just ended on "everybody opened an app store for agents." This picks up right there.
You and Chris each say what you spend on AI a month, and the one thing you would keep if you could only keep one. Chris first.
Everybody asks which tools. Almost every business already pays for an assistant: 43.8% of US businesses paid for Anthropic in August, 39.8% for OpenAI. The difference is whether it is connected.
One line from our own interviews: the people with no routine named the most tools.
Beginners collect tools. The AI-native connect them.
Walk the ladder. Ask the chat: which layer are you stuck on? Type the number.
Five people, five jobs. A founder paying for 12 separate tools. A creator who made a launch video in a minute for $2. A gas station owner whose billing agent caught a $25,000 error. Anthropic's sales team, Claude on top of the usual tools. Their 24-hour follow-up rule is “enforced by Skill, not by manager.” SaaStr, 3 people and 21 agents.
Ask Chris which one he is.
Slide 4, our 81 sellers. One job up close. 75% use a general assistant, only 35% anything built for sales. Most tools, least routine. 0% rehearse a call. 1 in 81 measures whether it works. Say: self-reported by job candidates.
Do not copy someone's apps. Copy the outcome for your seat. Read two rows, then ask the chat to type their job.
We asked Claude. Six lines, none of them a product. React to it, and say where you disagree for a small business.
Walk your five layers and the impressive tags. Then slide 8: 14 tools, one assistant. You did not replace any of them, you plugged them in. Slide 9: each of those tools already has its own AI, ten assistants that each see one app. One assistant sees all of them.
Show it live: open Gemini in Gmail and Breeze in HubSpot, ask each "what can you do for me?" Each one only talks about its own app. Then ask your Claude the same question.
Paste this first, and say on air you are doing it:
Chris fills his five layers live. The point is the gaps between you two.
Your 3:40am board: yesterday's interviews scored before anyone is awake. That is layer four.
Fix your lowest layer before you buy anything. Drop your stack in the chat. Rate two or three live.
Add one layer this week, not five tools.
